They can literally do whatever they want. Even if they announced it in 2019 as an expansion they can change their development whenever they feel like it.
The devs do not owe you anything.

That isn’t what I asked. I was explicit about the graphics and the gameplay, something actually salient. I’m having some difficulty taking you serious now at this juncture; well actually it was a few pages back. Nevertheless I tried giving you the benefit of the doubt but all your responses have been frivolous, backpedaling, or poor attempts to obfuscate with semantics for reasons I surmise to be your obstinance born out of this nonexistent game you think you’re entitled to. But you aren’t owed anything. I’ll just echo this sentiment shared earlier in the thread.

In summary, you really need to just do a little bit of growing up here. GGG isn't a mean nasty liar who lied to you about their plans - they're a for profit company who had to change plans because sometimes that's what companies have to do in the world we live in. They're called for-profit for a reason. They're not for-art or for-fun and they're certainly not for-you.

I think feedback on the state of the game, and the direction they take with planned fixes is completely fair.
Criticism on the pace of patches is fair as well (although I personally don’t think the pace of patches has been too slow, I just think the changes they implement in the patches have all been half measures).
But demanding people specifically don’t have vacations so you can play your video game is straight up embarrassing. Can’t imagine what kind of a person can type this and think they’re even halfway normal lmao.

Again. The point that you focus on "the looks" of the game is meaningless when it's a conversation about "Things GGG said they will do (marketed), but didn't".

"It's sadly not that easy anymore" is just another way to say "I'm sufficiently upset to redefine the meaning of words in order to support my claims." Sadly, that's just not how it works. You don't get to change what words mean just because you're actually really super mad about something.

You even seem to acknowledge that your attempts to redefine the word are based on emotion rather than knowledge or information, but no matter how sad you are about it lie means what it means. If GGG believed what they were saying at the time to be true, then they weren't lying.
No matter how angry or upset or sad you are about it, if they believed at the time that what they were saying was true then they weren't lying. I know how much easier this is for you if you can just change what words mean but, like, you can't.
I don't redefine "lie".
Do you understand what a "deception" is and how it relates to "lying"?
Furthermore, as already pointed out - they knew way before they communicated the change, that it would not be an expansion anymore. That means, they did not lie from the start, but they deceived after some point.
