Warning for Ultra widescreen Mod after I disabled it
everyone knows its the wrong decision to not support it, except the fanboys who are defending everything GGG says and does, no matter how bad it really is.

" For sure, although I suppose there must be someone responsible for the decision not to support it at GGG, hopefully that person will somehow manage to change their mind on this issue. But I of course completely agree with you that it is obvious to literally everyone else, which means its completely one-sided W for GGG to grab when they realize. We already covered extensively why its a completely insignificant advantage, but I would encourage GGG to look at "competitive" play, such as speed runs, and see if they can spot where the advantage is. E.G. this video is how PoE 2 speedruns look right now, and this one is even played on 16:9 aspect ratio even though 21:9 aspect ratios are also allowed (and so is 32:9 if you're willing to risk the ban). but I think its a good example, because playing on a lower aspect ratio doesn't seem to have any noticeable difference in competitiveness for this player: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eoU1PxlmcLc&ab_channel=Lolliprop |

I was thinking about buying a new monitor, widescreen for playing POE...
So... as ppl say... it doesn't change a thing having a widescreen or not? |

Widescreen is allowed 21:9 far as I know. It's the Ultrawidescreen 32:9 that they're against. And I have yet anyone to answer the questions to the points I've asked in this post. Nothing at all from GGG. This is Early Access Feedback. And what we get, is just nothing. I'm open to listening just as I am talking. But I don't get a proper talk. Will there ever be a solution? Will it ever be allowed? Is this no 32:9 thing permanent? I want to either keep this game on my HD or Uninstall. I simply just want to know. |

since there is no communication on this topic from GGG whatsoever, its fairly certain that we can uninstall and move on. pretty sure they will support 32:9 at some point in the future, but for many people that will be too late. you will most likely never start playing a once forgotten game again. So everyone that leaves now, probably leaves forever.

I agree. I've been playing Last Epoch instead. It's been gradually getting better as I get more into the game. Didn't expect that. So to all that get into it, it'll take a bit for the game to really pick up in it's difficulty/fun etc... I'm still not into end game yet and it's much better than when I first started (cause it was easy at the start for me). And I'm told a patch is coming to improve it even more.
This game here with GGG. Still heard nothing about 32:9 with my questions. I've not played it for over a month now. It doesn't appear they care to reply as though I'm just some small schmuck in a tiny corner that doesn't matter. No wonder they have more negative reviews than what they've had before. All it takes is a few sentences to let all know who have 32:9 what they're thinking upon it. Or am I supposed to think that since they'll ban it, this is a forever thing? It appears like the game is going to make a steady decline in players again. GGG should really think upon this! |

Having a stance that is so devoid of common sense and not even attempting to explain or communicate about it is bound to result in strong animosity from those affected by the situation.
Meanwhile they are caving on issues that aren't one-sided at all. Such as allowing ascendency respec for example. In my opinion allowing ascendency respec is bad because: 1) it makes the decision less meaningful 2) it feels dumb that the best way to level your character will often be to choose the wrong ascendency at first and then respec later - e.g. starting infernalist for demon form and then changing it to lich after you find good items. 3) it messes up the ladder/leaderboards when someone can have a level 99 chronomancer, but in reality they played it as a stormweaver and simply changed it in the end for whatever reason. I think its a dumb decision to introduce that. And from their interviews it seemed GGG thought so too. I don't know a single person who thinks its a good change to make that decision matter less, I know its been a hot topic on the forum, but to me it seemed like a vocal minority wanting that. GGG is busy making divisive changes while we are over here with the only non-divisive issue with not even a single response from them. |

You just stated a good amount of sense there. I've watched and heard and seen things upon Elon Musk cheating. Actually stating that he does. And yet gets away with it. How's this so? Can I just do 32:9 then and simply get away with it? What's an actual ban and what isn't? A game hasn't drove me crazy before like this one. I've had bad games. Where you absolutely know it's bad, there's no coming back to it. They can't improve it. It's junk from the start, etc... This one is just funky. They have the definite ability to make something awesome and yet here we are! It baffles me. And I flat out watched as Elon doing his cheat being talked about (without using his name) Being thrown under the rug like, the response is that they weren't going to talk upon that topic. Does Elon use 32:9? I would like to contact him somehow and simply ask him to use 32:9 and see what happens. |

actual cheaters or scammers will never get caught. and even if they do, they make a new account and continue. and where are we now? we are at a point where normal legit players get accused of cheating, just for playing the game.
whats next? im getting banned in counter strike because i have a 5090 and get much more FPS or better frametime than everyone else? its just ridiculous. |

Ultra Wide Screen gives you a 25% chance to not get instakilled by offscreen enemies. Clearly they want to kill you from offscreen (or they would have fixed it by now).
