Skip Campaign after first playthrough
This is only a good solution if you redesign end-game. If the campaign is overly structured and linear, then mapping suffers for lack of structure. So long as both experiences are such polar opposites, and frankly each bad in their respective ways, then it's better that we have to do both, simply for variety.
The better question is why the campaign was not designed to be fun to replay. There were more innovative ways to accomplish this (more openness, random elements) but there were also relatively minor things they could have done, like not pad the campaign with annoying pauses for story events and not make area layouts so obnoxious, that would have gone a long way towards players like their time is being respected on their 2nd, 3rd, 15th replay. |

There needs to be a solution for alt accounts at least. As bad as this league is i would have liked to try Deadeye but there is NO WAY that i will subject myself to this campaign yet again. Already done it 3 times in past couple months which is more than i ever replay any singleplayer games.

Whats the difference between playing the campaign and running a waystone? There really isn't much difference.
These people just want all content handed to them without any effort on their part. It's a sad reality. Modern triple a games have turned the modern gamer into an entitled snowflake who demands all content be accessible to them without any thought or effort on their part | |
to me campaign is beautiful except for some act 3 zones without it game is just that dull-ass endgame.
best part of poe2, they reshake the meta, new class/weapons, and people try to find the best way to overcome campaign again. more interesting than figuring out how to overcome t4 deli or one-shot t4 xesht. |

I skipped the campaign because I played 150 hours of Monster Hunter Wilds since the last patch.
My huntress campaign run was an absolute slog, even after running it over a dozen times last league. So... I skipped it with the rest of the characters and don't regret it yet. :D Stupid people never lose an argument. Last edited by NotPivot#9831 on Apr 29, 2025, 5:14:49 PM

I have to add that I like the campaign, but I have the feeling the skills that you get are mostly balanced around the endgame and so it makes playing the campaign again feel awkward once you played endgame.

" Yeah... I ran it twice for almost every class last league. Made a huntress and hung up my spear until I enjoy the game I've sank 300+ dollars into again. Maybe next league? Stupid people never lose an argument.

" Nah mate. I sort of agree with a skippable campaign, even though I've never done it in D4 and would t recommend it. Biggest issue is leveling, because you would have to essentially run the campaign anyway in order to even be able to run a T1 map as things sit right now. But with that said, I see no harm in allowing those who want to, to be able to at least go to their hideouts and interact with the Atlas before having to do 2 entire playthroughs again to be able to try maps with a new class build. That's just me though. Stupid people never lose an argument.

They would need to destroy the game game that. How the hell is your lvl 1 character going to run a t1 map. They would either need to lower map start to lvl 1 difficulty or make you character instant lvl 60. Actually no idea how it's would work but I dont think that is possible without completely destroying the game.

I don't know why you’re still trying to debate about this?
that won't happen. |
