The biggest red flag for Path of Exile 2

This isn't just business, this is also art, a creative process. The developers are making a game THEY love and trust me you want that. You want nuance, artistic choice, someone who will stand up and say "NO, WE ARE MAKING THIS, NOT YOU" or you get stuck with every generic studio on the market.

You're welcome to spend the time learning to develop a game, and spend the vast resources to make said game, and deal with the stress of running an entire company while people who have no concept of what it takes to develop said game call for your job over not getting their shinies fast enough.

Look we're all frustrated by parts of the game, right? I've had a lot of personal issues with the random crashes and the one shot mechanics coming from off screen. I don't think the trading mechanism is even remotely good enough right now. Itemization and materials can be a REAL chore. But if you look past the flaws and offer thoughtful insight and enough people do, those flaws can change.

Constructive criticism is imperative to success. Screaming and stomping your feet is not the way.

The attacks are beyond scandalous when you look at the gaming space as a whole.
The graphics, theme, music and gameplay attempt already at the "late beta" stage are superb and a heap of thoughts are only circulating around selfishness in regards to only certain builds, certain uniques and drop rates.
While in the mean time, there's lack luster indie projects everywhere and "triple A" titles that leave decent minds thinking "what was the point of this amount of money and time waste really". Literally the only triple A I can think of in recent years that wasn't a waste was DMC5, beautiful gameplay we expect from the series and the music was a 10 (with Vergil's theme being pretty much immortalized).

The only excuse some of these cheap critics have, is that they clearly love the game enough to care about hating it senselessly.

You might not know this but one of the original dev visions for poe was non permanent loot in parties. So anyone in your group could scoop up the best item drops even if they were putting in no work at all. The players had to complain to get it changed.

Also how is trading working out for the devs vision right now?

when me and my friends play we do FFA loot. its fun. i think poe has the best trading in any arpg.

I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

Jonathan said on the interview that he wants to make the game for himself instead of playerbase.

And also said that never tested WISPS on anything but Acts, so was surprised that Wisps do not work in Maps.

That was literally said in the interviews.

I assume they tried to make Maps like Acts (slow and boring) not realising that will not work, since Maps are all about juicing and going faster and faster (since there aren't goal such as Defeat Act Boss. It's all about improving character power now).

Without even playing Maps.

...Maybe if devs do not even play Endgame, let community decide what they want. Since it's already 35k online. It's pretty clear Ruthless isn't something most people want. And even if we're talking of the remaining, most play Lightning Spear (1 button build that clear as fast as possible).

(Not even talking about everyone who supported PoE1... Just to get PoE2 for 10 months, and with Chris, Rory and Hrishi leaving. PoE1 may be dead).

There is no red flag for POE2. Nope. Not the slightest red flag at all. Jonathan is right. GGG is right. POE2 should be very challenging and difficult. There should be no loot explosion in POE2. In fact, it would be perfect if there is very little loot at all in POE2.

I am looking at Last Epoch now and I am looking at the steamchart numbers. The Last Epoch numbers are now lesser than POE2. Very soon in another two weeks, probably the numbers for LE will sink to only four digits.

This is what you get for making LE into a loot explosion game and also an easy game with easy challenges and easy difficulty. Now less and less people are interested in LE and very soon, nobody will be interested in LE anymore.
