This is written at the bottom of the Shop > Mystery Boxes page.

It feels a bit misleading, bordering on false advertising, as the updates have not been ‘frequent’ nor focused on the creation of any content for PoE 1. Any mystery box purchases instead went towards funding the early access of PoE 2 which was still over 4 months out from release when the Settlers league began.

So for anyone who bought these boxes solely interested in contributing to the longevity of PoE 1, we were actually sealing our fate, as it was noted how the entire 1 team was uprooted to pour all their resources into the sequel.

Frequent updates… except for console gamers who get nothing after Phrecia.
If anyone bought boxes on console, thinking they were supporting PoE 1’s ongoing development…
Yikes. Where did our money actually go?

May want to update the Shop webpages just to let people know that the updates are not frequent, and compared to PC end-of-league activities, non-existent on consoles.
