[0.2.0] Lightning Spear + Shockburst Rounds Tactician - Finally did it! PIN ALL THE THINGS! (T16+)

Lightning penetration on a few jewels and a couple nodes on the tree is very worthwhile

The Crossbow/Shockburst was getting too hard to scale past Tier 15.

I went all-in on spear, dropped the Crossbow completely. The build is now Lightning Spear + Storm Lance. Absolutely insane clearing with single target damage almost there. As easy as two-button clearing gets and just so much fun.

What I'm running into is if the boss is lightning resistant, big problem, but I think I have the solution! Partly @arooo#0923's suggestion (ty). Going to test it on a Pinnacle boss that's 75% lightning resist.

Here's the latest build if you wanted to follow along. Still very cheap to build and tons of fun for clears. Destroys any crossbow combo I've seen. Blows away my legacy 96 Witch Hunter Galvanic build with a mirror worth of gear.

I switched from witchhunter to Gemling and I am running the galvanic shard+Shockburst combo and i managed to kill Xesht max lvl and T3 Arbiter with no problems.

I switched from Witchhunter to Gemling because as a Witchhunter I started lacking dmg. The magic shield he has from ascendancy was nice, but it is better to AOE down everything before they can even touch you.

Also bosses usually 1-shot you anyway, even through the shield from witchhunter ascendancy.

So Gemling is the way, gaining a lot of dmg and being able to use Martial tempo on both Galvanic + Shockburst is insane (as well as other gems that boost dmg)

I also use a Quadrilla companion with haste aura and "Always shocks with hits". This helps me to have consistent shock on the enemy.
When I start a fight, i start with Stormcaller arrow which i have buffed to do huge shock + lightning exposure, then I switch to shockburst and just brrrrrrrrrrr him down.

My gear is definitely NOT worth a mirror... More like 30 divines. Just like someone else said in this thread, you definitely need resistance penetration from talents. I have like +50% lightning pen.

Also I am running the Deepest Tower helmet with some nodes to increase presence AOE and the nodes from talents are giving me +360% damage to enemies with low life.

The dmg boost from helmet is insane.
