GGG, what on earth were you thinking???
" Perhaps not a "100% you" problem. I'm a pretty good gamer. Not the best by any means and there's always going to be someone better than me by far. Perhaps this person has the same issue as me - I was in act 1 and just kept getting mobbed by enemies - I mean like X4-X7 the amount of enemies that existed in level 1 in the previous patch. I also noted that for some reason, as a huntress there were less mobs than when I was playing as a sorc. So perhaps the game is now biased towards certain classes? Finally, I was doing almost NO DAMAGE. When you have almost zero gold and your skill level is very low, and you're constantly being mobbed literally to death, then yes, I feel his/her pain. Basically, if you're skill level X, then your 1V1 damage against an opponent should be X-minus-zero-point-something. But I was noticing that the swarms of enemies were not weaker than me, I was very much weaker than the enemies. When this is the case, and you're playing solo, you die before you can make XP. Here's one thing that made be back away from the new class. I had the skill gem for the whirling spear (or whatever it's called) and my enemies would walk into it and they would have this white sphere similar to shock damage, but they just kept on coming. No stagger, no slow, no debuff, just no effect at all. That indicates a broken mechanic to me. After 3 hours in act one, just kinda spent. What bothers me the most is that after the patch, when the passive tree was altered I lost some jewels and two very expensive diamonds, because where those diamonds and jewels were the sockets were eliminated. In their interview, the devs said that we could play our old build or move to the new currency class. OK, fair enough. But evidently that wasn't true - because my stuff is still gone. Someone will get on here and say "shoulda RTFM" or "that's the nature of ARPG's, you lose everything at the end of the season", but that's not true of most ARPG's.
