My experience so far
I played as a lvl94 Titan using Resonating Shield / Shield Charge and Shield Wall combo. It was just a decent build overall. I did Tier 1 bosses of every end game mechanic easily (Arbiter, Delirium, Ritual, Breach) which is enough for me atm. So far this is what I have experienced.
I have played around few mechanics to find my jam and here is also generally what I experienced: 1. Ritual location chocies. Please adjust them a bit to spawn in more spacious places. I dont mean to make them easier to but most of the time it spawns on cramped corners where there is not even monsters to sacrifice on it. I got 100 tributes from one of the rituals in a map, for example. 1-2 out of 4 locations being crampy alright but when it is 3-4, it is not really fun or rewarding. Becuase, you dont even get enough tributes to defer an expensive item sometimes. 2. Mana costs. As being warrior I use mana flask way too much. I understand it should be a resource to be managed but using my mana flask every pack or so, it is too much I think. My main skill costs 150 mana each, if there is less than 3 mobs, I dont leech enough mana to go on. Also wierdly, there is no mana leech / regen on warrior's tree. 3. spent my points for Shrines, especially for Enlightening shrine for exp but out of 30 maps, it spawned only once. If I spend my points to play the content I want, I think it must definitely be more often than that. I dont expect every map or something like that but between 5-10 out of 30 maps would be better. Also, since maps are big and requires back tracking, durations can be a bit longer. If there is a critical chance / bonus on a map, Lightning or Meteor Shrine can one shot me, I mean... just why? Also they are still hard to click so just make a little radius around it for us to walk very close and get the shrine buff. 4 Rogue exile encounters are rare also and even rarer for them to drop a jewel. I specced into jewel drop notable in Atlas so yeah imagine abyssmal rate. 5.There is always something like (For playing very carefully I guess) one shots you, whether your screen has full of mobs or just 4-5 white mobs. If you dont want people to build one click builds, dont give us too much one shot mechanics. Especially vaal mobs with lightning abilities. Even without a single risky mod on the map, they one shot me as if I just finished the acts and have no resistances at all. In Abyss map those grenades throwing mobs were a nightmare. It may have been a bug for that instance but I literally had to walk few meters away from bombs just to survive. One inch closer, I'd lose 50 percent hp. Again, no risky mods. OR I guess these two incidents were both bugs, sometimes they pose no threat sometimes they deal damage like a Tier 4 boss. But also I no longer wanna grind exp to make my build lvl 100. It may go all well 10 maps and the next map I may die to a random white mob 3 times without noticing its cause for it. 6.probably most annoying of them all: Servers. I lost a divine orb, items, maps and experience to many server crashes. I'm sure I'm not alone or minority on this, because when we log in back, global chat was absolutely on fire. Also yeah, drops are crap. " The game is balanced around 75% resist, and in that regard, the mobs can doubletap you if playing an Armour build. I think the game should be balanced around 0-25% res, and let the resistances be more difficult to cap. |
