Posion Tornado (Spell)

Hello all, A little backstory, I'm new to Path of Exile. I happen to be trying out a posion build for my first character, and have been experimenting with lots of different poison applications. I started with daggers and then bows and now I've moved onto spells.

I'm wondering why I can't find anything on anyone using the "Tornado" spell for applying poison. It deals damage every 0.25 seconds and with skill duration will stick around and track enemies for a good while. Currently I'm at 14 seconds and it allows me to focus on my dodging and stay a safe distance away. I tried Blade Vortex and it felt clunky compared to this. Unfortunately you only get one Tornado but area radius and the hinder help keep enemies grouped up and the damage going.

Obviously I'm not an expert and have put very little thought in this or anything close to a polished build but has anyone else smarter than me tried this?

From what i checked they use turbulence gem variant and isolate the fire one with combat focus jewels to convert 60% of it to chaos with the daggers.

Only 60% conversion may sound bad idk but they got 3 active tornados at the same time.

Yeah I did actually find a youtube video on it and it seems like exactly my type of build. I'm pretty poor at the moment but now I have an actual full build to work towards rather than aimlessly leveling.

Unfortunately it's a Pathfinder build so hopefully it still works well with Shadow, maybe I'll dip crit in.

I'm not sure if it is exactly what you are trying to do with stacking posion with the tornado, but vaal venom gyre is a build that works well with the tornado.

In the link i gave you, if you uncheck pathfinder a trickster will appear with actualy more dmg than the pathfinders. He steals Noxious Strike from Assassin via forbidden jewels and he stacks frenzy charges with maven belt for affliction charges.It has to be stronger than a crit variant even with perfect agony.With Ralakesh boots 1 frenzy charge becomes 12% more damage and he uses replica Badge of the brotherhood to get the same number of endurance charges.Assuming you are using a pair of gloves with 1 max frenzy, you d start with 9 frenzy (108% more damage for poison) and so 9 endurance (36% raw physical and elemental damage reduction).
Even though you could also steal the Frenzy node from Trickster as Assassin, Maven belt + Ralakesh + replica Badge seems to be unbeatable.But a crit variant would just complicate things imo.Polymath will just beat Toxic Delivery and Opportunistic compete with other Trickster nodes.

Thanks I'll have to check that out, I'm still in the very early stages of endgame right now though so it'll be a while before I get everything together.
