The Meaningful combat, SPEARS!
Ohh boy, let's start this off with a banger.
This newest patch has really put me off of the game. Tried multiple characters, multiple builds. Deliberately avoiding Spear to see if I can have fun without it. Pretty much quit the game, then I decided to try the Spear on a Ranger... It's literally the exact fun I wanted. Starting the Ranger with Spears is amazing. You only have to make it to level 14 or 16 to get your screen clear. My auto attack is hella fast and melts bosses. The other spear abilities that combo together (the twisters and the melee air one)are awesome and feel great. Lightning Spear and just the normal Spear throw FEEL great! I'm making this post because I know exactly WHY it felt great..... I already had all the drops from the previous characters. I should expand of this. I didn't have to wait on ANY GEMS to drop. I knew I would eventually try spears, and love them, so I saved good ones. I didn't have to rely on Gambling or over leveling content to get past areas, mobs, or bosses. I didn't have to fight bosses for 2 minutes or more. I didn't have to constantly bring items back to town for sale and salvage. I didn't have to care about having gold to re-spec. I didn't even have to care about what the gear character was wearing, It just needs to be NOT a blue or a white item! I already know the whole campaign so it's extremely easy. I'm noticing One Shot mechanics ONLY annoy me because I never ever get hit by anything, I'll get through a whole map and get hit by one mob at the very end of the map and notice how much damage I take and be very surprised. I'll throw out some suggestions since players are terrible at making them. 1. If it feels like gambling, you didn't earn it, you just beat the odds. 2. My play through felt great because I avoided the road blocks that are designed into the game. 3. The game feels like it is ment to be played by someone who has ALREADY played it.
