Embrace the Darkness bug - Damage bypasses ES

I am a level 35 Monk with the Acolyte of Chayula ascendency and the Embrace the Darkness node.

When fighting the Mighty Silverfist his slam attacks are removing darkness and life but NOT Energy Shield. I have no reason to believe the damage would be chaos damage (I assume it's physical) so I believe this is a bug with Embrace the Darkness.

Here is a screenshot taken immediately after being hit by a pillar slam. You can still see the dust on the ground from the shockwave of the attack. My Darkness is completely gone (0/418) and my life is almost half gone (436/735) but my ES is full (110/110). I don't think I was hit by the other mobs so that damage should all be from that one hit from the Mighty Silverfist.



This bug has repeated upon multiple failed attempts to beat this boss.

I relogged and tested this with a white quadrilla and the first hit that finishes off the Darkness, the damage carries over to life and skips ES. I just got hit and my life (721/735) lost some but my ES is full (110/110) and Darkness ran out. It's hard to notice on small hits but has a big impact on one shots like the Might Silverfist attacks or if you have a sliver of life but full ES as darkness hits 0.
