Refund off-ramp

I haven't put in too many hours but I am clear this is not a game for me.
Couldn't be clearer.
It's a very different flavour of game that should not be monkey branching off the POE name but that's a different topic for another day.

Currently though, I think GGG should give a refund off ramp to all those who are feeling completely disconnected or maybe even accidentally misled by the type of game, name, feel etc

This can communicate to the player base on exactly what they are looking for and sets the foundation for the Souls like game and audience they are building for.

The arpg audience can then be clear knowing that their arpg entertainment cannot be had from this game.
It becomes honest and clear, so there is no false hope and no mistaken cosmetic purchases and such.

I understand many may have hundreds of hours so maybe some other solution for them? A discount off ramp or something?

But whatever the off ramp, I think it might help everyone.

GGG will be free to double down on the souls like meanwhile other games out there can do the ARPG part and thus freeing GGG from the burdens of those expectations as well.

Everybody wins, with no resentment.

No one is getting a refund 4 months later because they're not liking a patch. Especially during early access - you knew exactly what you're buying into. A unfinished product that's bound to change a lot until release. No one was mislead here, lmao.

The entitlement of some people. Insane.

I don't think it's just a patch issue.

It's the entire game at a fundamental level.
There was no way to know without actually playing it.

The off ramp is for that misunderstanding that could have occurred.
The POE name, art and graphics overlap etc has a lot to do with this misunderstanding.

If you deny clarity, answers, solutions and in turn off ramps.
This creates resentment.

What you are seeing right now across the forums/internet everywhere regarding POE2 is the side effect of that resentment.

You can label it as entitlement but that is far from the truth.

Sure, don't refund or do any off ramp but the gamers are still going to feel that resentment and it will spread into everything moving forward.

I don't make up the rules of human behaviour.
No one has to do anything about it.
I am just saying it like i see it.

I m not surprised ppl demand refunds.
GGG title game :"PoE2" while we got : "Ruthless_2"

This is pure, typical, corporate lie!

Brother, we have had teasers and gameplay footage as early as 2019. It was very evident from the beginning that PoE 2 will be different. Even more so when they announced it's going to be completely separate from PoE 1.

Whatever happened to people making informed decisions before actually purchasing something?

There was no way to inform yourself from those videos.
Especially with all the similarities with POE1, it's even more overlap and convolution. POE1 gamer could mistake dodge and new systems as addons to POE1 instead of it being a full on souls like feel. I personally did not even imagine it would feel like a souls like game from those presentations and trailers.

What those early videos show are not exactly how its felt in game.
There is no clear way for a POE1 gamer or even the midground ARPG gamer, Diablo etc to fully separate it without actually playing it.

Class identity here is non-existent. Everyone is painted in the same grey bush stroke. If you dont believe me put a spear on a Merc and you will feel just as bad as a Huntress lol.
