What is this game balance?

I'm playing the same stuff I was in 0.1 — starting with Witch, then Merc, then bouncing back and forth between them.

Witch is literally unplayable. My skeleton archers need 3–4 hits per stupid wasp in the first area of Act 3. My Merc? A single Galvanic Shard clears the whole wave.
Act 2 final boss? With Witch it took me 15 minutes and multiple attempts. Merc? 3 minutes, first try. And he’s not even that great at single target!

Both are now at the beginning of Act 3. Stat-wise:
Merc – 9h played, 3 deaths
Witch – 12h played, 36 deaths (half of them to the invincible Colossus)

There was no such difference in power in 0.1 — both had their strengths and weaknesses. Witch was tanky, Merc dealt a lot of quick damage.

Why did you nerf Witch? What was the problem? Why was an already slow class hit like a Spark Archmage? Because a lot of people play minions? Are you nerfing stuff based on popularity now?
Maybe people just like playing summoners? If everything's supposed to be combo-based, then why include minions in the game in the first place?

Oh wait — combos suck too. My Merc is just one button and still does easily 10x the dps of Witch.

Inb4 ggg nerfs Merc.
