Bad co-op experience and some issue with new things
So, I start playing with some of my friends and few min. in we start to argue about some problems about co-op and new things;
- Loot Distribution - how the hell it work?! Or should I say, what a joke it is. No matter color, one item is "for all" to take, another only for one person, another one stay "gray" about 1-2 sec and then anyone can take. One of my friends loot most of items saying to us; "First come first serve". There was even a situation, where we fight one boss, two enemies jump in (walk close by), one of them drop Unique Item and ... two friends close to item stop fighting boss and jump to take item, where I and last friend was still focusing on boss (and after few sec ressing one of above players). Change it please! Or, give us option to change it to something like; "Roll to Take" or "Every item is only for one player" so ppl maybe start to trade them after fight. - Exp Share Distance - again, how the hell it work?! We tested it in some situation and it was inconsistent at best. Sometimes exp was "blocked" by distance, other times by "line of sight". I understand that "If player is dead he cannot get exp" but until alive, can we share exp if we are in the same instance? - Skill Gems - I was interested in them when first time see them, but after few hours in game I was annoyed with them to the point I go back to PoE 1. And here is why; - Skills need uncut skill gems to "lvl up" ... a Random Drop to lvl up! Maybe this is sentiment, but lvling up Skill Gems in PoE 1 was way better - you need time and not RNG. Not only that, but high lvl uncut skill gems, make it even worse - upgrade existing one, or craft new one. Adding to this problem with Loot Distribution, then we have a big problem. - Support Skills - Every problem above and, adding to that, most of them are pointless for me or locked to high lvl which escalate even more problem with "Everything is rng based". Plus, why we cannot lvl them up? Or, why are we forced to supports skills that demand other stats that I want to focus? Last bumped on Apr 8, 2025, 4:19:37 PM

Agreed 100%. I have been playing with my husband and it is painful to not have individualized loot. Not to mention the loot amount with 2 players does not change from playing solo. It feels incredibly bad for us to open a chest and only one person has the loot designated for them and the other gets nothing from that chest. The mobs are so overscaled for 2 players as well that at this point there is zero advantage to playing with a friend/spouse. I expect mobs to be harder but not to the extent that they currently are.
