The Affliction Challenge League

  • Challenge leagues are a great opportunity for a fresh start in a new economy. All of your old characters and items are still present in the Standard and Hardcore leagues, but you're encouraged to join the new leagues, complete challenges and demonstrate your mastery of Path of Exile!
  • In the Affliction Challenge League, you will encounter Sacred Wisps which beckon you to enter overgrown passageways that lead to the Viridian Wildwood. A vile affliction has covered this forest with a foreboding darkness. You'll need to uncover the forest's mysteries to put a stop to the source of the Affliction.
  • The wisps burn away the forest's affliction when you approach the darkness, though they have limited power. Discover other types of wisps trapped inside the darkness, follow their trail by collecting them, and uncover many different secrets.
  • When the sacred wisps run out of energy, they return you to where you came from, along with any other wisps you collected. These wisps, having been saved from the affliction, disperse into the environment and inhabit randomly chosen monsters in the area, increasing their power, and also their rewards.
  • While exploring the Wildwood, you might find some of the last few Azmeri wanderers who have managed to survive in the forest since it was cursed. Each of them have different survival specialisations, and they are willing to teach you if you agree to help them defeat the source of the Affliction: the King in the Mists.

  • With 3.23.0, there are Standard, Hardcore, Solo Self-Found and Ruthless variations of the Affliction challenge league available. They have the same core mechanics and items. You can create private league versions of these leagues, with mods that make the game harder.
  • The new Affliction challenge league includes a set of 40 new challenges, and 8 new challenges in Ruthless Affliction. There are microtransaction rewards for completing challenges that are only obtainable in this league. These rewards will be revealed in an upcoming news post.

New Content and Features

  • Added Ultimatum to the core game, rebalanced around the lower rate of encountering Ultimatum gameplay (see Ultimatum Changes).
  • Added 4 new Divination Cards, 2 of which were designed by our supporters, with 2 designed by Event winners.
  • The following Uniques have been added to the core drop pool: Ahuana's Bite, Akoya's Gaze, Bound Fate, Dead Reckoning, Defiance of Destiny, Ikiaho's Promise, Kahuturoa's Certainty, Kaom's Binding, Kiloava's Bluster, Maata's Teaching, Rakiata's Dance, Tawhanuku's Timing, and Utula's Hunger.
  • Added 16 new Unique Items, 7 of these being new Replica Uniques.
  • Added 5 new Experimented Base Types.
  • Added 633 more foiled Unique Item options that the Voidborn Reliquary can yield.
  • The Ranger and Scion have received audio dialogue for Part Two of Path of Exile.
  • Continued to incrementally improve the sound, art, effects and environments.

Ultimatum Changes

  • Ultimatum has been added to the core game, replacing Metamorph. You will have approximately an 8% chance to find the Trialmaster and his Trials of Chaos in Maps.
  • Ultimatum Encounters are now 10 rounds by default, though I sincerely hope you intend to last longer than 2 rounds.
  • You now have a chance to be teleported to The Trialmaster's Arena for the 10th round in areas with a level of 81 or higher, rather than this being guaranteed.
  • Ultimatum modifiers have been rebalanced, some new modifiers have been added and some previous modifiers have been removed.
  • Ultimatum modifiers that previously had 3 tiers of difficulty, such as Stormcaller Runes, now have 4 tiers of difficulty.
  • Monsters in Ultimatum Encounters no longer drop loot, other than The Trialmaster, though they still grant experience.
  • Added a new Tainted Catalyst that can be obtained from the Trialmaster. It applies a random quality type and amount of quality to a Corrupted Ring, Amulet or Belt, and replaces other quality types.
  • Catalysts are now rewards from Ultimatum, and are affected by Map Item Quantity.
  • Vaal Aspects, previously known as Ultimatum Aspects, combine into a new Unique Jewel instead of the The Tower of Ordeals Map.
  • The Tower of Ordeals Unique Engraved Ultimatum Map can no longer be opened in a Map Device.
  • You can once again vendor 5 Inscribed Ultimatums for a new Inscribed Ultimatum.
  • Added a round count display between rounds in Ultimatum Encounters.
  • Kirac can now offer Map Missions to complete an Ultimatum, replacing Missions for constructing and slaying a Metamorph.
  • Kirac can now offer Maps for purchase with the "Area contains an Ultimatum Encounter" implicit modifier, instead of ones with the "Area contains Metamorph Monsters" implicit Map modifier.
  • Catalysts are no longer offered as Ritual Rewards, or a reward type for Delirium Rewards.
  • Mysterious Incubators can no longer drop Catalysts.
  • Metamorph rewards from Heist, Expedition, Betrayal, Delirium, Legion and Eldritch Altars have been replaced with Ultimatum rewards.
  • Existing Amorphous Delirium Orbs will be replaced with Challenging Delirium Orbs, which add layers of Delirium with the Ultimatum Item rewards type to Maps. This is the only source of Challenging Delirium Orbs, these are unobtainable as item drops or from any other source.
  • Existing Morphing Incubators will be replaced with Challenging Incubators, which can be added to an equippable item, dropping an Ultimatum Item after killing a certain amount of Monsters. This is the only source of Challenging Incubators, these are unobtainable as item drops or from any other source.
  • Expedition Remnant modifiers in Expedition sites that grant Runic Monsters and Chests a chance to drop Catalysts have been replaced with modifiers that drop Heist Contracts instead.
  • Reduced the amount of Catalysts obtained from Heist Chests, Expedition Chests, Betrayal Chests, and Vaal Unique Strongboxes, as well as the amount of Catalysts offered by Tujen.
  • Metamorph Scarabs have been replaced with Ultimatum Scarabs. Each Scarab guarantees an Ultimatum encounter in an Area, with higher-tier Scarabs granting increased Experience from Ultimatum Monsters, or causing Ultimatum Encounters to grant additional rewards as though you completed additional rounds. Existing Metamorph Scarabs will be converted to Ultimatum Scarabs.
  • The Metamorph Map Crafting Option and Metamorph Sextant modifiers have been replaced with Ultimatum versions.
  • The 5 Metamorph clusters on the Atlas Passive Tree have been replaced with Ultimatum Clusters.
  • Added a new Ultimatum Cluster which contains the Face The Ultimatum Notable Passive. This Notable provides your maps with a +15% chance to contain an Ultimatum Encounter, while the 3 small Passives in this cluster each provide your maps with a +5% chance to contain an Ultimatum Encounter.
  • Added a new Ultimatum Cluster which contains the Prove Yourself Worthy and Stand Your Ground Notable Passives. The 7 small Passives in this cluster either cause Ultimatum Encounters in your Maps to spawn 8% increased number of Monsters, your Maps to have +5% chance to contain an Ultimatum Encounter, or Ultimatum Monsters in your Maps to grant 10% increased Experience.
  • The Prove Yourself Worthy Notable Passive causes Ultimatum Modifiers in your Maps to start a Tier higher if possible, and causes Ultimatum Rewards in your Maps to have a 25% chance to be duplicated. The Stand Your Ground Notable Passive causes Ultimatum Encounters in your Maps to get 3% reduced Radius each Round, and also causes them to grant rewards as though you completed an additional Round.
  • Added a new Ultimatum Cluster which contains the Ruinous Wager Keystone as well as the Conquer The Stones, Survive The Assault, Slaughter Them All, and Protect The Altar Notable Passives. The entry small Passive provides your maps with a +5% chance to contain an Ultimatum Encounter.
  • The new Ruinous Wager Keystone Passive causes Ultimatum Monsters in your Maps to apply Ruin with their special abilities, Ultimatum Monsters and Modifiers in your Maps to deal 50% less Damage, and causes Ultimatum Encounters to Fail on reaching 7 Ruin.
  • The Conquer The Stones Notable Passive causes Ultimatum Encounters in your Map to have 100% increased chance to require you to Stand in the Stone Circles, with these types of encounters having 25% increased radius. The small Passive prior causes Ultimatum Stone Circles in your Maps to have 15% increased radius.
  • The Survive The Assault Notable Passive causes Ultimatum Encounters in your Maps to have 100% increased chance to only require you to Survive, with these types of encounters having 20% reduced duration. The small Passive prior causes Ultimatum Encounters in your Maps only requiring you to Survive to have 10% reduced duration.
  • The Slaughter Them All Notable Passive causes Ultimatum Encounters in your Maps to have 100% increased chance to require you to defeat waves of Enemies, with these types of encounters requiring killing 20% reduced number of Enemies. The small Passive prior causes Ultimatum Encounters in your Maps requiring you to defeat waves of Enemies to require killing 10% reduced number of Enemies.
  • The Protect The Altar Notable Passive causes Ultimatum Encounters in your Maps to have 100% increased chance to require you to protect the Altar, and Ultimatum Altars in your Maps to have 50% increased Life. The small Passive prior causes Ultimatum Altars in your Maps to have 25% increased Life.
  • Added a new Ultimatum Cluster that contains the Gruelling Gauntlet Keystone, as well as the Worthy of the Past, Worthy of the Present, and Worthy of the Future Notable Passives. The 6 small Passives in this cluster each cause Ultimatum Rewards in your Maps to have a 10% increased chance to be Inscribed Ultimatums.
  • The new Gruelling Gauntlet Keystone Passive causes Ultimatum Encounters in your Maps to last 3 additional Rounds, but makes it so you cannot choose which Ultimatum Modifier is applied each Round, and cannot have a Boss in the final Round.
  • The Worthy of the Past Notable Passive causes Inscribed Ultimatums found in your Maps to have 50% increased chance to reward Unique Items, and Ultimatum Rewards in your Maps to have 50% increased chance to be Unique Items.
  • The Worthy of the Present Notable Passive causes Inscribed Ultimatums found in your Maps to have 50% increased chance to reward Currency Items, and Ultimatum Rewards in your Maps to have 50% increased chance to be Currency Items.
  • The Worthy of the Future Notable Passive causes Inscribed Ultimatums found in your Maps to have 50% increased chance to reward Divination Cards, and Ultimatum Rewards in your Maps to have 50% increased chance to be Divination Cards.
  • Added a new Ultimatum Cluster which contains the Brave The Tower Notable Passive. This Notable causes the Ultimatum Boss to drop a full stack of random Catalysts, and Ultimatum Encounters in your Maps to have 30% increased chance for the final Round to include a Boss. The 4 small Passives in this cluster each cause Ultimatum Encounters in your Maps to have 10% increased chance for the final Round to include a Boss.
  • The Ethics Review Notable Atlas Passive has been replaced with a new Notable, Servant of Order. It causes your Maps to have no chance to contain Ultimatum Encounters, and a +2% chance to contain other Extra Content.
  • Shepherd of Souls, granted by the Yaomac's Accord Unique Sceptre, no longer causes other Vaal Skills to gain 50% of the consumed Souls when you use a Vaal Skill, and no longer causes Non-Vaal Skills to deal 30% less Damage. Instead, it now causes Vaal Non-Aura Skills to have 80% less Soul Cost, and Vaal Non-Aura Skills to have 100% increased Soul Cost per Vaal Skill used in the past 8 seconds.
  • Accelerating and Unstable Catalysts can now be obtained from Catalyst sources outside of Ultimatum encounters.
  • The Metamorph Stash Tab has been converted to an Ultimatum Stash Tab, which can hold 5000 of each type of Catalyst and 60 Inscribed Ultimatums.
  • The Metamorph Stash Tab Affinity has been replaced with Ultimatum.

Metamorph Changes

  • Metamorph has been removed from the core game. Itemised Metamorph Samples will be deleted upon logging in.
  • The following Metamorph Uniques have been added to the core drop pool: Astral Projector, Fury Valve, Mother's Embrace, and Warrior's Legacy.
  • The Awakened and The Transformation Divination Cards can now be found in the Gardens, Haunted Mansion, Palace, Tower, and Underground Sea Maps, as well as the Death and Taxes, Hallowed Ground and Maelström of Chaos Unique Maps.
  • The Sextant modifiers that cause an area to contain Metamorph Monsters or cause Catalysts dropped by Metamorphs in your Maps to be Duplicated can no longer roll. Existing Voidstones or Charged Compasses with these modifiers have had this replaced with a modifier that causes your Maps to contain Ultimatum Encounter.
  • The Shifting Ire has been removed from the Foundry Map Boss fight. Existing Shifting Ires that have been captured in a Ritual Vessel are now "Ciergan, Shadow Alchemist" instead.

Other League Changes

  • When Delirium fog has ceased its movement due to players engaging in other League content, walking out of the mist will no longer cause the Delirium fog to dissipate.
  • Reduced the drop rate of Forbidden Tomes.
  • Reduced the drop rate of The Hour of Divinity and The Gilded Chalice Unique Relics.

Atlas Changes

  • The following Maps have been added back to the Atlas: Ancient City, Arid Lake, Ashen Wood, Bramble Valley, Burial Chambers, Canyon, Conservatory, Core, Crater, Crimson Township, Crystal Ore, Desert, Dig, Dry Sea, Fields, Foundry, Gardens, Ghetto, Grotto, Jungle Valley, Laboratory, Overgrown Ruin, Park, Plaza, Ramparts, Relic Chambers, Sepulchre, Spider Lair, and Waste Pool.
  • The following Maps have been removed from the Atlas: Alleyways, Arachnid Tomb, Barrows, Beach, Cells, Cold River, Courthouse, Dungeon, Excavation, Factory, Fungal Hollow, Geode, Graveyard, Haunted Mansion, Lava Lake, Leyline, Malformation, Mausoleum, Pen, Phantasmagoria, Pit, Primordial Blocks, Primordial Pool, Silo, Sulphur Vents, Sunken City, Terrace, Tower, and Waterways
  • Map tiers and locations have been shuffled (though the 'pin' locations for maps have not changed). Most maps are now initially found at a different tier.
  • Some of the Map Bosses you are required to defeat to upgrade your Pantheon have changed as a result of these Atlas changes.
  • Crafting Recipes that were previously unlocked in Maps that have been removed from the Atlas are now found within other Maps currently on the Atlas.
  • Some Divination Cards have found new homes as a result of these Atlas Changes:
  • Azure Rage, Rats, The Tireless Extractor, The Return of the Rat, and Three Faces in the Dark can now be found in the Port Map.
  • The Demon and The Wrath can now be found in the Crater Map.
  • The Master can now be found in the Fields Map.

Transfigured Gems

  • Alternate quality gems, labyrinth helmet enchantments and unique threshold jewels are all systems that were trying to subtly modify the behaviour of skills. With this expansion these have been combined into a new system called Transfigured Gems that allows us to fully achieve the goal of these three systems, and then some.
  • Transfigured Gems are alternate versions of existing skill gems that have different functionality and balance than their regular versions. We have added many of these, with interesting variations that drastically change how existing skills play.
  • Some existing skill gems have had stats or interactions removed from the base gem and moved to the Transfigured versions to provide more focused support for pre-existing alternate playstyles.
  • The Divine Font at the end of the Labyrinth is now a gem crafting device that can modify your skill and support gems by turning them into Transfigured Gems, add Quality or Experience to Gems, or sacrifice a Gem for one or more Treasure Keys to open Izaro's Chests.
  • A substantial amount of damage-dealing skills have had their quality stats buffed. In most cases they will be significantly more powerful than before, and also more interesting. Many supports have also received changes to their quality stats.
  • The vendor recipe for turning a Level 20 Gem into a 20% Quality Level 1 version of that Gem no longer works with Skill Gems, as the benefit Quality provides to damage dealing Skills is now more powerful. The vendor recipe can now only be used with non-Awakened Support Gems.
  • Anomalous, Divergent and Phantasmal Quality Gems have been removed from the game. Existing alternate Quality Gems now have the base Quality effect found on the respective Gem.
  • Prime and Secondary Regrading Lenses can no longer be obtained. Existing items will be deleted upon logging in.
  • Tainted Blessings can no longer be obtained, and existing items will be deleted upon logging in.
  • The following Divination Cards have been temporarily disabled: Divine Justice, Doryani's Epiphany, Dying Anguish, Terrible Secret of Space, The Blessing of Moosh, and The Hook. Existing Divination Cards cannot be turned in currently.
  • Grand Spectrum Unique Jewels no longer drop from Izaro's Treasure Chests at the end of the Labyrinth. They can now drop from Labyrinth Troves and Emperor's Vaults found throughout Merciless and Eternal Labyrinths.
  • Imperial Delirium Orbs can no longer be obtained.
  • Maps that have an Imperial Delirium Orb applied to them, or existing Maps with one of these already applied, will always award an Offering to the Goddess.
  • Mysterious Incubators can no longer award Enchanted Items.
  • Enchanted Incubators can no longer drop, and existing items always award an Offering to the Goddess.
  • Labyrinth rewards can no longer be obtained from other league content.
  • Logbook Remnants that cause Runic Monsters or Chests to have a chance to drop an Enchanted Item now provide a chance to drop Ritual Splinters instead.
  • Tora's Betrayal Fortification Safehouse rewards are now chests of Quality Gems, and her Transportation reward is now a Trapped Stash of Gems.
  • Vorici's Betrayal Transportation Safehouse rewards now Reforge the colours of, number of, or links between sockets on an item 50 times, using the outcome with the greatest number of less-common socket colours, sockets, or linked sockets respectively.
  • Leo's Betrayal Research Safehouse reward is now a Trapped Stash.
  • In order to replace the rewards in Heist that previously gave alternate quality gems, we have done a rebalance of the rewards of Heist as well.
  • Grand Heist Rewards no longer differ based on type of Blueprint Area.
  • The Rewards from Chests in Grand Heists, Jobs required, and required Job Level are still influenced by Blueprint Area.
  • The Thief's Trinket Slot is now unlocked when you first pick up a Thief's Trinket on that character, rather than in Underbelly or Smuggler's Den Blueprints.
  • Some of the more common but very low value Currencies are no longer offered as rewards at the end of Grand Heists.
  • Increased the stack size of Currency offered as rewards at the end of Grand Heists.
  • The Endless Misery, Soul's Wick and Spirit Guard's Unique Jewels can no longer be obtained, as benefits these provided are now found on Transfigured Skill Gems. The vendor recipes for Dead Reckoning, Spirit Guards and Endless Misery have also been removed.
  • The Anima Stone Unique Jewel no longer has "+1 to maximum number of Summoned Golems", though existing versions of this item are unaffected by this change. Golem builds should now be less dependent on this Jewel to be effective, and instead have Transfigured Skill Gems available that serve a similar purpose.
  • The Dead Reckoning Unique Jewel no longer has "Minions have +7-10% to all Elemental Resistances" or "With at least 40 Intelligence in Radius, Summon Skeletons can Summon up to 15 Skeleton Mages." It now causes Skeletons to gain Added Chaos Damage equal to 20-30% of Maximum Energy Shield on your Equipped Shield. This change only affects new versions of this item.
  • Many Experimented Base Types and some Replica Uniques have also received changes, these can be found in the Item Balance and Unique Balance sections respectively.
  • While Transfigured Gems are not detailed here, changes made to base Skill Gems as a result of Transfigured Gems being added are detailed below.

Skill Gem Changes


Absolution:
  • Quality now causes Minions to have 0-40% increased Cooldown Recovery Rate, instead of dealing 0-20% increased Damage.

Alchemist's Mark:
  • Quality now provides 0-10% increased Effect of Mark, instead of 0-10% increased Area of Effect.

Ambush:
  • Quality now causes Exerted Attacks to have +0-10% to Critical Strike Chance, instead of providing 0-10% increased Cooldown Recovery Rate.

Ancestral Cry:
  • Quality now provides 0-40% increased Cooldown Recovery Rate (previously 0-20%).

Ancestral Protector:
  • Quality now provides +0-0.4 metres to Melee Strike Range, instead of 0-20% increased Totem Damage.

Ancestral Warchief:
  • Quality now provides 0-30% increased Activation range, instead of 0-20% increased Totem Damage.

Animate Guardian:
  • No longer has 0-76% increased Minion Maximum Life, Minions deal 0-76% increased Physical Damage with Melee Attacks, or causes Minion's Attacks to deal additional Physical Damage. It now has 0% more Minion Maximum Life and more Minion Damage at gem level 1, both scaling up to 38% at gem level 20. Animated Guardians now have roughly 11% more base Life inherently, and now have 2 to 6 added Physical Damage while Unarmed.

Animate Weapon:
  • Quality now provides +0-2 to Maximum Animated Weapons, instead of causing Minions to have 0-20% increased Movement Speed.

Arc:
  • Now has a base Critical Strike Chance of 6% (previously 5%). It no longer has 10% chance to Shock enemies, or provides 10-29% increased Effect of Lightning Ailments. It now has 15% more Damage with Hits and Ailments for each remaining Chain at all gem levels (previously more Damage for each remaining Chain).
  • Quality now causes the skill to Chain +0-1 Times, instead of providing a 0-10% chance to Shock enemies.

Arcane Cloak:
  • Quality now provides 0-20% increased Buff Effect, instead of 0-20% increased Skill Effect Duration.

Armageddon Brand:
  • Quality now causes the skill to Deal +0-10% more Damage with Hits against Branded Enemy, instead of providing 0-10% increased Cast Speed.

Artillery Ballista:
  • Quality now causes the skill to Fire +0-1 Arrow, instead of providing 0-20% increased Fire Damage.

Ball Lightning:
  • Quality now provides +0-0.2 metres to radius, instead of 0-20% increased Lightning Damage.

Bane:
  • Quality now causes Applied Curses to have 0-20% increased Effect (previously 0-10%).

Barrage:
  • Quality now causes the skill to Fire +0-1 Projectile, instead of providing 0-10% increased Projectile Damage.

Battlemage's Cry:
  • Quality now provides 0-40% increased Cooldown Recovery Rate, instead of 0-20% increased Area of Effect.

Bear Trap:
  • Now has 300% Effectiveness of Added Damage (previously 260%).
  • Quality now provides +0.00-1.00 seconds to Base duration, instead of 0-20% increased Physical Damage.

Berserk:
  • Quality now provides 0-10% increased Cooldown Recovery Rate, instead of 0-20% increased Attack Damage.

Blade Blast:
  • No longer detonates Blade Vortex blades, and no longer has "80% more Area of Effect per Blade Vortex blade detonated".
  • Quality now provides +0-0.1 metres to radius, instead of 0-10% increased Area of Effect.

Blade Flurry:
  • Quality now provides +0-5% more Damage with Hits and AIlments for each stage, instead of 0-10% increased Attack Speed.

Blade Trap:
  • Quality now provides "Trap lasts +0-1 seconds" and "Rotates +0-1 times", instead of 0-30% increased Critical Strike Chance.

Blade Vortex:
  • No longer has 0-10% increased Critical Strike Chance for each blade. It now deals 3 to 5 Physical Damage at gem level 1 (unchanged), scaling up to 140 to 211 at gem level 20 (previously 128 to 191).
  • Quality now provides +0-5% increased Hit Rate for each blade, instead of 0-10% increased Area of Effect.

Bladefall:
  • No longer leaves 50% fewer Lingering Blades in the ground if you don't Cast this Spell yourself. It also no longer has 100% increased Critical Strike Chance, 6% less Damage per Volley, or 20% reduced Critical Strike Change per Volley. It no longer has the Critical tag.
  • Quality now provides +0-1 Volley, instead of 0-10% increased Area of Effect.

Bladestorm:
  • Quality now provides +0-1 to Maximum number of Bladestorms at a time, instead of 0-20% increased Skill Effect Duration.

Blast Rain:
  • Quality now causes the skill to Fire +0-1 Arrow, instead of providing 0-10% increased Area of Effect.

Blazing Salvo:
  • Quality now provides +0-0.2 metres to radius, instead of 0-10% increased Area of Effect.

Blight:
  • Quality now provides +0.00-0.80 seconds to Base duration, instead of 0-10% increased Area of Effect.

Blink Arrow:
  • No longer has Minions deal 0-114% increased Damage, or 0-57% increased Minion Maximum Life. Now has Minions deal 0% more Damage at gem level 1, scaling up to 57% at gem level 20 (previously 75% at all gem levels). Blink Arrow clones now have 75% more base Damage and 50% more base Life inherently. Now describes average hit damage instead of damage per second on the skill tooltip.
  • Quality now provides 0-40% increased Cooldown Recovery Rate, instead of "This Attack and Minions have 0-30% increased Projectile Speed".

Bodyswap:
  • Quality now causes the skill to deal +0-4% of your maximum Life as base Fire Damage, instead of 0-10% increased Cast Speed.

Bone Offering:
  • Quality now provides 0-10% increased Effect of Offering, instead of granting Minions 0-10% increased Cast Speed.

Boneshatter:
  • Quality now provides +0-1% more Damage per Trauma, instead of 0-20% increased Stun Duration on enemies.

Brand Recall:

Splitting Steel:
  • No longer consumes Steel Shards, or grants Call of Steel. No longer has "Projectile which have Split deal 35% less Damage." It now has 40% chance to Impale Enemies on Hit (previously 60%), and has an Attack Speed multiplier of 90% of Base.
  • Quality now provides 0-40% increased Impale Effect (previously 0-20%).

Static Strike:

Summon Carrion Golem:
  • No longer has 0-38% increased Minion Maximum Life. Summoned Carrion Golems now have 20% more Life inherently.
  • Quality now provides 0-20% increased Buff Effect, instead of causing Minions to deal 0-20% increased Damage.

Summon Chaos Golem:
  • No longer has 0-38% increased Minion Maximum Life. Summoned Chaos Golems now have 20% more Life inherently. Golem now grants 3% additional Physical Damage Reduction at gem level 1 (unchanged), scaling up to 5% at gem level 20 (previously 4%).
  • Quality now provides 0-20% increased Buff Effect, instead of causing Minions to deal 0-20% increased Damage.

Summon Flame Golem:

  • Now has a 0.750 second Cast Time (previously instant), and no longer has a Cooldown Time. It can no longer be cast on Frostbolt projectiles, and as such, no longer has 20% less Area of Effect when Cast on Frostbolt or "Can explode from up to 5 Frostbolt Projectiles." It now deals 49 to 73 Cold Damage at gem level 1 (previously 41 to 62), scaling up to 779 to 1169 at gem level 20 (previously 1209 to 1813). It also now has a Mana cost of 13 at gem level 1 (previously 11), and 25 Mana at gem level 20 (previously 20).
  • Quality now provides +0-0.2 metres to radius, instead of 0-10% increased Area of Effect.

Wave of Conviction:
  • No longer has 0-38% increased Skill Effect Duration. Now has a base duration of 0.5 seconds at gem level 1, scaling up to 0.7 at gem level 20 (previously 0.5 seconds at all gem levels).
  • Quality now provides "Damage Penetrates 0-15% of Enemy Elemental Resistances", instead of 0-20% increased Elemental Damage.

Wild Strike:
  • Quality now provides 0-20% chance to Freeze, Shock and Ignite, instead of 0-20% increased Elemental Damage.

Winter Orb:
  • Quality now provides +0-2 Maximum Stages, instead of 0-10% increased Cast Speed.

Wintertide Brand:
  • Quality now causes the Debuff to deal +0-5% more Damage per Stage, instead of providing +0-10% to Cold Damage over Time Multiplier.

Withering Step:

Miscellaneous Gem Changes

  • Updated the description for stats on Gems that provide increased Movement Speed to Minions, such as the one found on Animate Guardian, to clarify it does not affect Minions from other Skills.

Ascendancy Changes

  • The Hinekora, Death's Fury Chieftain Ascendancy Passive Skill now causes Enemies you or your Totems Kill to have a 5% chance to Explode, dealing 500% of their maximum Life as Fire Damage (previously just Enemies you Kill).

Passive Tree Changes

  • Passive tree mastery stats that previously granted increased accuracy against marked enemies, unique enemies, or nearby enemies now instead grant more accuracy. The previous versions were not functioning correctly and could generate incorrect accuracy values under some circumstances.

Atlas Passive Tree Changes

  • With the Speaker of the Dead Keystone Atlas Passive, Players can now Touch up to 20 nearby normal or magic Monsters for each Tormented Spirit Possessing them (previously 50).
  • With the Destructive Play Atlas Keystone allocated, killing the Map boss before The Maven can cast Up The Stakes no longer causes her to leave without summoning additional bosses.

Unique Balance

  • The Ashes of the Stars Unique Amulet no longer provides 10-20% increased Reservation Efficiency of Skills. Existing items can be updated with a Divine Orb and a momentary lapse in judgement.
  • The Heatshiver Unique Helmet now has "Gain 30% of Cold Damage as Extra Fire Damage against Frozen Enemies" (previously 100%). Existing items can be made worse with a Divine Orb.
  • The Replica Dragonfang's Flight Unique Amulet now provides +5-10% to all Elemental Resistances (previously +10-15%), 5-10% increased Reservation Efficiency of Skills (previously 10-15%), and causes Items and Gems to have 5-10% reduced Attribute Requirements (previously 10-15%). Existing items can be updated to the new values with a Divine Orb, but why on Wraeclast would you do that?
  • The Kaom's Spirit Unique Gloves now have "Regenerate 1 Rage per second for every 300 Life Recovery per second from Regeneration" (previously for every 100 Life Recovery). Existing items can be made worse with a Divine Orb.
  • The Fire Damage taken per Second while Flame-Touched on the Annihilation's Approach Unique Boots was a bit too high for a Unique obtained through killing an Uber Pinnacle Boss. As such, we have updated these Boots to have "Take 6000 Fire Damage per Second while Flame-Touched" (previously 10000). A Divine Orb can be used on existing items to obtain this new value.
  • Attacks with the Ephemeral Edge Unique Sword now have Added Maximum Lighting Damage equal to 20% of player Maximum Energy Shield. It can no longer scale off of a Minion's Maximum Energy Shield.
  • The Ralakesh's Impatience Unique Boots no longer has "Lose all Frenzy, Endurance, and Power Charges when you Move", or causes your Minimum Endurance, Frenzy or Power Charges to be equal to Maximum while stationary. It now has "Count as having maximum number of Endurance Charges", "Count as having maximum number of Frenzy Charges", and "Count as having maximum number of Power Charges." This change affects existing items.
  • The Replica Bones of Ullr Unique Boots now cause Summoned Phantasms and Raging Spirits to have a 10% chance to refresh their Duration when they Hit a Rare or Unique Enemy (previously just Unique). This change affects existing items.
  • The Replica Mistwall Unique Shield now has "You are at Maximum Chance to Block Spell Damage if you have not Blocked Recently" (previously a +75% chance). This change affects existing items.
  • The Replica Perfect Form Body Armour has been reworked. It no longer provides 10-15% increased Dexterity, +70-100 to Maximum Life, Hollow Palm Technique, or causes Flesh and Stone to have no Reservation. It now provides Versatile Combatant, and +20% chance to Block Attack Damage. This change does not affect existing items.
  • The Replica Bitterdream Unique Sceptre now causes Socketed Gems to be Supported by level 15 Elemental Penetration (previously level 1). This change affects existing items, though they will have an incorrect description unless a Divine Orb is used on them.
  • The Replica Oro's Sacrifice Unique Sword no longer has "1% of Damage against Frozen Enemies Leeches as Life" and instead provides Culling Strike against Frozen Enemies. This change does not affect existing items.

  • The "Maven releases all Bosses at once" modifier can once again roll on Maven's Invitations.
  • The following Experimented Base Types can no longer be obtained: Maltreatment Axe, Prime Cleaver, Hedron Bow, Shadow Fangs, Hollowpoint Dagger, Flickerflame Blade, Flare Mace, Blunt Force Condenser, Fickle Spiritblade, Rebuking Blade, Capacity Rod, Transformer Staff, Assembler Wand, Exothermic Tower Shield, Exhausting Spirit Shield, and Endothermic Buckler.
  • Disapprobation Axe: Now has +15 to Maximum Rage (previously +10).
  • Psychotic Axe: Now has +20 to Maximum Rage (previously +10).
  • Prime Cleaver: Now deals 39-61 Physical Damage (previously 36-56).
  • Honed Cleaver: Now has +30% to Maximum Quality (previously +20%), and deals 60-95 Physical Damage (previously 55-86).
  • Apex Cleaver: Now has +40% to Maximum Quality (previously +20%), and deals 71-111 Physical Damage (previously 65-101).
  • Hedron Bow: Implicit modifier now adds 46-55 to 69-83 Fire Damage (previously 40-48 to 60-72).
  • Foundry Bow: Implicit modifier now adds 80-97 to 126-144 Fire Damage (previously 70-84 to 110-125).
  • Solarine Bow: Implicit modifier now adds 121-133 to 184-197 Fire Damage (previously 105-116 to 160-172).
  • Shadow Fangs: Implicit modifier now adds 26-38 to 52-70 Chaos Damage (previously 23-33 to 45-60).
  • Malign Fangs: Implicit modifier now adds 43-55 to 81-104 Chaos Damage (previously 38-48 to 70-90).
  • Void Fangs: Implicit modifier now adds 46-63 to 92-113 Chaos Damage (previously 40-55 to 80-98).
  • Flashfire Blade: Now has 20% Cooldown Recovery Rate of Travel Skills.
  • Infernal Blade: Now has 40% Cooldown Recovery Rate of Travel Skills.
  • Flare Mace: Triggered Fiery Impact now has a cooldown time of 1.8 seconds (previously 2 seconds).
  • Crack Mace: Triggered Fiery Impact now has a cooldown time of 1.6 seconds (previously 2 seconds).
  • Boom Mace: Triggered Fiery Impact now has a cooldown time of 1.4 seconds (previously 2 seconds).
  • Impact Force Propagator: Now causes Warcries to Exert 2 additional Attacks (previously 1).
  • Fickle Spiritblade: Now has 6.5% Critical Strike Chance (previously 6%).
  • Capricious Spiritblade: Now has 6.5% Critical Strike Chance (previously 6%).

  • Cogwork Ring: Now has 25% increased Suffix Modifier Magnitudes.
  • Geodesic Ring: Now has 25% increased Prefix Modifier Magnitudes.
  • Simplex Amulet: Now has -2 Prefix Modifiers allowed (previously -1) and 100% increased Explicit Modifier magnitudes (previously 25%).
  • Exothermic Tower Shield: Now has 87-100 Armour (previously 125-143), and a 25% chance to Block (previously 23%).
  • Magmatic Tower Shield: Now has 144-165 Armour (previously 205-236), and a 27% chance to Block (previously 23%).
  • Heat-Attuned Tower Shield: Now has 220-253 Armour (previously 330-379), and a 29% chance to Block (previously 23%).
  • Exhausting Spirit Shield: Now has 16-19 Energy Shield (previously 24-28), and a 22% chance to Block (previously 20%).
  • Subsuming Spirit Shield: Now has 25-29 Energy Shield (previously 38-44), and a 24% chance to Block (previously 20%).
  • Transfer-Attuned Spirit Shield: Now has 39-45 Energy Shield (previously 56-64), and a 26% chance to Block (previously 20%).
  • Endothermic Buckler: Now has 75-86 Evasion Rating (previously 112-129), and a 24% chance to Block (previously 22%).
  • Polar Buckler: Now has 123-142 Evasion Rating (previously 185-212), and a 26% chance to Block (previously 22%).
  • Cold-Attuned Buckler: Now has 206-236 Evasion Rating (previously 302-348), and a 28% chance to Block (previously 22%).

Ruthless-specific Changes

The following notes only apply to Ruthless Leagues
  • Summoned Sentinels of Radiance, granted by the Guardian's Radiant Crusade Ascendancy Passive Skill, now have a maximum level of 80 (previously 85). Its melee damage has been reduced by roughly 50%, and the damage and area of their burn has been reduced by roughly 50%.
  • Elemental Relics, triggered by the Guardian's Unwavering Crusade Ascendancy Passive Skill, now have a maximum level of 80 (previously 85).
  • The Champion's Fortitude Ascendancy Passive Skill now grants 15 Fortification (previously 10).
  • The Assassin's Deadly Infusion Ascendancy Passive Skill now grants +2% Critical Strike Chance while at maximum Power Charges (previously +1%).
  • The Assassin's Noxious Strikes Ascendancy Passive Skill now grants 10% increased Poison Duration for each Poison you have inflicted Recently, up to a maximum of 100% (previously 5%).
  • The Assassin's Toxic Delivery Ascendancy Passive Skill now causes Poison you inflict with Critical Strikes to deal 10% more Damage (previously 25%), and now grants "All Damage with Hits can Poison".
  • Slightly increased the drop rate of currency items.
  • Talismans created through Beastcrafting are now created with at least Magic Rarity, and the chance to create Rare Talismans has been increased.
  • Tora's Betrayal Research Safehouse rewards is now a chest of Support Gems.
  • Tora's Betrayal Fortification Safehouse rewards is now a Trapped Stash of Gems.
  • Experimented Base Types can now be found at the end of Grand Heists.
  • Ultimatum Scarabs only guarantee an Ultimatum encounter in an Area.
  • The Face the Ultimatum Notable Atlas Passive causes your Maps to have 125% increased chance to contain an Ultimatum Encounter, with the 3 small Passives each providing a 50% increased chance.
  • The Protect The Altar Notable Atlas Passive does not cause Ultimatum Altars in your Maps to have 50% increased Life.
  • The Slaughter Them All Notable Atlas Passive does not cause Ultimatum Encounters in your Maps requiring you to Defeat waves of Enemies to require killing 20% reduced number of Enemies.
  • The Survive The Assault Notable Atlas Passive does not cause Ultimatum Encounters in your Maps only requiring you to Survive to have 20% reduced duration.
  • The Conquer The Stones Notable Atlas Passive does not cause Ultimatum Stone Circles in your Maps to have 25% increased radius.
  • The Prove Yourself Worthy Notable Atlas Passive causes Ultimatum Rewards in your maps to have 10% chance to be duplicated, with small Passives prior each causing Ultimatum Monsters in your Maps to grant 5% increased Experience.
  • The small Atlas Passives prior to the Stand Your Ground Notable each cause Ultimatum Encounters in your Maps to spawn 5% increased number of Monsters.
  • The Worthy of the Past Notable Atlas Passive only causes Ultimatum Rewards in your Maps to have 50% increased chance to be Jewellery.
  • The Worthy of the Present Notable Atlas Passive only causes Ultimatum Rewards in your Maps to have 50% increased chance to be Currency Items.
  • The Worthy of the Future Notable Atlas Passive only causes Ultimatum Rewards in your Maps to have 50% increased chance to be Gems.
  • The Brave The Tower Notable Atlas Passive only causes Ultimatum Encounters in your Maps to have 50% increased chance for the final round to include a Boss, while the small Passives prior each cause your Maps to have 50% increased chance to contain an Ultimatum Encounter.

Monster Balance

  • The Foundry Map Boss fight has been adjusted now that it is a single-boss fight. The health of Ciergan, Shadow Alchemist has been increased. They can now use Corpse Rain skill when not on full life (instead of under 90%), and are able to use their Corpse Rain and Spawn Rat skills more often. The number of Molten Mortars spawned by the Cauldron has been increased, alongside the damage they deal.

  • Fortune Favours the Brave (costs 3 Chaos Orbs): One of these options will be applied at random, including those you have not yet unlocked.
  • Torment (costs 2 Chaos Orbs): Area is haunted by 2 additional Tormented Spirits.
  • Anarchy (costs 3 Chaos Orbs): Area is inhabited by 3 additional Rogue Exiles.
  • Ambush (costs 4 Chaos Orbs): Area contains 4 additional Strongboxes.
  • Beyond (costs 5 Chaos Orbs): Slaying Enemies close together can attract monsters from Beyond this realm.
  • Blight (costs 6 Chaos Orbs): Area contains a Blight Encounter.
  • Expedition (costs 8 Chaos Orbs): Area contains an Expedition Encounter.
  • Ultimatum (costs 10 Chaos Orbs): Area contains an Ultimatum Encounter.

User Interface Changes

  • Hovering the create button on the character selection window now displays how many of your character slots are currently in use.
  • You can now press B/Square on faded items in your main inventory to remove them from the trade and sell windows.
  • You can now press B/Square currency items in your main inventory to only sell or trade a partial stack.
  • Improved the highlighting of Basic Jewel Sockets when they are searched on the Passive Skill Tree.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed some incorrect behaviour with the spacing of Spell Cascade with Curse skills that was inadvertently fixed in 3.22.0 before being reinstated temporarily in 3.22.0b.
  • Fixed a bug where Projectiles from Skills supported by Returning Projectiles were only dealing less Damage with Hits while Returning. They now also deal less Damage with Ailments while Returning.
  • Fixed a bug where player minions would take no damage from roaming Deatomization Storms in the Sirus, Awakener of Worlds Boss fight.
  • Fixed a bug where Volcanic Fissure could be supported by Ballista Totem. Ballista Totem Support can now only support Bow or Wand Skills.
  • Fixed a bug where the Mageblood Unique Belt could cause other players' flask effects applied to you through Soul Link to be infinite.
  • Fixed a bug where Arc was not able to chain back to targets it had previously hit. It still cannot chain to a target immediately after chaining from it.
  • Fixed a bug where the debuff beams from Siphoning Trap were not applying to the closest enemies.
  • Fixed an issue where Corrupting Cry Support did not mention it cannot modify the skills of minions.
  • Fixed a bug where Urgent Orders Support did not support Raise Spectre.
  • Fixed a bug where triggered actions looking for something to target, such as a Skill supported by Manaforged Arrows, could pick things you don't have line of sight to.
  • Fixed a bug where Skills supported by Spell Cascade could sometimes face the wrong direction, most noticeable with Reap when cast close to your character's position.
  • Fixed a bug where Chain Hook could pull you to a namelocked enemy that was not within range of the attack.
  • Fixed a bug where the skill tooltip for Blink Arrow and Mirror Arrow would display their life incorrectly.
  • Fixed a bug where the Radius per Rage stat on Chain Hook displayed per 0.5 Rage instead of per 5.
  • Fixed a bug where Glacial Hammer did not state in its description that only non-unique enemies will shatter when hit by Glacial Hammer when frozen and on less than one third life.
  • Fixed a bug where Vaal Volcanic Fissure stated it exploded one less time than it actually did. The description for the gem has been updated.
  • Fixed a bug where Reave didn't display its maximum stage count on the Gem description.
  • Fixed an incorrect description for the Evasion and Energy Shield Passive Skill Mastery that provides increased Maximum Energy Shield or Energy Shield Recharge Rate if both Equipped Rings or Equipped Amulet have an Evasion modifier. The description now states the modifier must be Explicit.
  • Fixed a bug where the Misery in Darkness Divination Card could not award a Shroud of the Lightless with 3 Abyssal Sockets.
  • Fixed a bug where stairs in The Forbidden Sanctum were not displaying correctly.
  • Fixed a bug where you were able to acquire Stacked Decks from Gilded Fossils in Ruthless.
  • Fixed a bug that could lead to the visuals of Izaro's slash not matching its damaging area.
  • Fixed a visual bug that could occur when Aukuna, The Black Sekhema explodes Shiyo's corpse.
  • Fixed another case of Rhoas in Blight Encounters being unkillable.
  • Fixed a bug where the trade window would not correctly account for merging currency stacks when calculating if you have sufficient space to accept the trade.
  • Fixed a bug where dragging your first Rogue's Marker into your inventory did not grant credit towards The Rogue Harbour quest.
  • Fixed a bug where the Harvest crafting option for changing a stack of Delirium Orbs into a different type could not be used on Kalguuran or Fine Delirium Orbs, which only exist in Standard Leagues.
  • Fixed a rare bug where letters could be missing from the Ascendancy Passive Panel lore text.
  • Fixed a bug where the cosmetics panel sometimes did not display your gems correctly if you had multiple of the same gem equipped.

  • Fixed a bug where ailment effect icons on monsters were occluded by their modifier text.

  • Fixed the client logs missing "To" and "From" on whisper messages.

  • Fixed a bug with the Sawblade Ethereal Knives Effect having more range than the base skill. This will still display this way until a later patch, but not do damage at the unintended range.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur with the Tumbling Orb Pets.
  • Significantly reduced the amount of damage dealt by Wisp Empowered monsters.
  • Reduced the Attack, Cast, and Movement Speeds of Vivid Wisp Empowered Monsters.
  • Decreased the amount of Wisps dropped from Empowered Non-Unique Monsters in the Viridian Wildwood by 30-40% depending on their rarity.
  • Fixed a bug where The King in the Mists could become stuck and stop taking damage.
  • Rare monsters empowered by Wisps now have approximately 20% less effective Life.
  • Unique monsters empowered by Wisps now have approximately 30% less effective Life.

Any chance that we'll get a list of console specific changes?

I *really* hope there are some, because the last 3.22 patch still contained repeatable crashes and some other pretty annoying bugs.
Thanks for these. Good to finally have them out. Hoped for some console-specific changes, but can't see any. Do know from good authority that the delve map has been fixed, tho, so hopefully that turns out to be correct. It was really frustrating last league because most of the map turned into kind of a blob and it was hard to see where paths would lead.

Can't wait for the 14th!

Something in this patch has borked my health regen. I have life regen on armor and a belt. If you pull up my character sheet in game (on ps4) it no longer shows my life regen. also if I go, for example, down in the sewers and take some poison damage (environmental, like caustic ground or whatever), I can then go stand in a corner with part of my life gone, and watch. it. not. regen.

Sometimes it seems like it might work, and sometimes the life regen line flashes into the character info sheet area, but it should be working all of the time.

flask stash tab need fix, gem stash tab need fix and what is the deal with the sacred blossom, more the 15 t4 plants i find in tota league only 2 drops, and the league before, more them 20 and no sacred blossom, i play ssf but that is bananas... at less tell me is rng, what is the chance to drop, this is a game of crafting and trade is a nightmare, i am ok for everything else but that is driving me crazy... and i have a ps4, imagine my love to the game the i play with no sound no textures and super laggy... but no sacred blossom is killing me
